I volunteer at a Civil War historical site. Most of the time I wear a period piece outfit and play like one of the original residents of the house I give tours at. On this particular day, I just wasn’t feeling like it. Thank goodness I didn’t dress up that day. On the first tour of the day, I was giving my speech in the living room area and there was a commotion in the kitchen. Boom. One of my fellow volunteers just dropped right out like a sack of potatoes. He recovered quickly and we went on with our day. Shortly after, on another tour, BOOM, there went another one standing in the same place. It was a guest this time. All in all, we had a total of 8 people pass out in that very spot that day. I’d never seen anything like it. People talk about the place being haunted, but up until that day, I never gave that much credit. I can’t help but think maybe there’s something to that, now.
