No Pizza From Strangers Either

I didn’t realize how scary this was until I was older, but one time, while walking home from school with my younger sister, we were approached by a man in a vehicle. He offered us a ride home. It’s hard to imagine that it was my sibling as the voice of reason in this situation because usually I’m the responsible one, but she told him no. He then upped the offer and said, “C’mon! I’ll buy you some pizza.” I was like, “Free pizza! There is zero reason not to do this.” But she still insisted we turn him down. I could not believe she would turn down pizza. I can’t believe how naïve I was and how lucky I am that she was there. Later that week, there was an AMBER alert issued with a description matching that car.
