I was at home eating edamame, placing the pod in my mouth between my teeth and pulling like a cartoon cat does with a fish. I must’ve been watching a movie because I wasn’t paying much attention. After a few pods, I looked down at the one I had just pulled between my teeth. There was a dark spot in it. My instincts were screaming at me not to investigate, but I did anyway. I split the pod open to find a worm. One half of which, was flattened.
